Avoid blood thinning medication and supplements, including Aspirin, Ibuprofen, vitamin E and fish oil or omega-3s to minimise the possibility of bruising.
Do not stop taking any prescribed medication unless specifically advised by your G.P.
Avoid the consumption of alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your treatment.
Please arrive at the clinic for your treatment with cleansed, make-up free skin. The use of non-active serums and moisturisers, along with your SPF is all you need to apply to your skin before arriving.
Don’t skip breakfast. Consume plenty of food and drink as this will decrease the chances of light-headedness during the treatment.
To ensure safe practice we don't treat clients for any of our injectable treatments 2 weeks before a COVID-19 vaccine and 2 weeks post vaccine.
Cosmetic treatment experts and industry bodies have issued guidelines for dermal fillers after a few cases of swelling that were related to dermal fillers and the COVID-19 vaccination. The advice is that it is best to leave a 2 week interval before having dermal fillers and 2 weeks after in order to minimise the risks of post-inflammatory swelling or reaction.
There is also new evidence to suggest that anti-wrinkle injections can be less effective if administered within this 4 week time period.
We will check this with you before you book your appointment. We ask that you put your physical health above any aesthetic treatment, and to inform us of any upcoming or recent vaccinations.
